VITA Sponsored Tax Day
On March 19th Cherish Families will host accountants who will help individuals in the community file their taxes free of charge, under the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
This program offers free tax help to people who generally make $56,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
We believe that there are many individuals in the Hildale and Colorado City areas who would benefit from this service. To facilitate this program, we've set up a tax day with VITA volunteers at our resource center in Colorado City.
Our accountants will be taking appointments in 30 minute windows, starting at 9:00am and going until about noon. Please make an appointment through our scheduler to secure your time slot. We do request that you fill the earlier appointment windows first, so there aren't gaps between appointments for the accountants.
