Hildale Health Fair: Cherish Families and Hildale City host this annual fun-filled event which offers free pre-school and sports physicals, immunizations, health screenings, vision and hearing assessments, early childhood assessments, diabetes screening and many more services to the Short Creek and surrounding communities, in collaboration with our incredible partners, University of Utah, Intermountain Healthcare, Family Healthcare, Southwest Behavioral Health Care, and several more.
Gramzi’s Grand Ball: A highly-anticipated event in honor of Kathy Jessop. “Gramzi” was a vibrant, beloved member of the Short Creek community. After her death, her children created a ball to memorialize her birthday and it has become a fundraiser for one of her pet causes: strengthening families and spreading joy.
Clothing the Class: Cherish Families collaborates with Assistance League and Soroptimist International Rocky Mountain Region to provide school clothing for children who are attending school for the first time, or who could not otherwise afford appropriate school attire. This is one of our most awe-inspiring events; the look on the children’s’ faces as they choose their own clothing and styles is heartwarming.
Cherish Families 5K Fun Run – Our annual fundraiser for all ages! Each year is a different, fun theme. Watch our calendar for dates and details! Collect the theme and T-shirt from each year.
Christmas Craft Extravaganza - The annual Cherish Families Christmas Craft Extravaganza is a family-enriching, community-building event. We partner with The Salvation Army, The Dream Center, and many other community donors to provide a day of games, crafts, meeting Santa, decorating cookies, winning prizes, and general jollity. Last year over 450 adults and kids participated in the festivities!
Magical Winter's Eve: This magical event features an elegant dinner for families who might be struggling to make ends meet, or who may not have celebrated Christmas before. We invite the parents for a night out and provide gifts for the family so they don't have to go into debt to celebrate Christmas.
