2nd Annual Creek Valley Health Fair a Success!
On July 27th we, along with many of our partners, participated in the 2nd Annual Creek Valley Health Fair. This event was created to bring many necessary medical services to the polygamist communities of Hildale and Colorado City, along with the communities surrounding them.
To put it bluntly, the fair was a huge success. We were so excited to see so many people from these communities show up and participate in all that we had to offer. It was a privilege to watch our partners interact with these communities that are, so often, forgotten.
The feedback we've gotten since the completion of the event has been nothing but positive. It was just one short day, but in that one day we were able to provide medical and dental services to countless numbers of people. In addition to that, many of our guests walked away with additional food and resource for their families, thanks to the generosity of St. Mary's Food Bank.
We were also honored to receive a Congressional Appreciate aware on behalf of Rep. Paul Gosar! That was very exciting.
